NYSUT Supports BOCES

NYSUT recently posted a position paper on their Web site supporting the efforts of BOCES in New York State. The paper begins with, "As your constituent and supporter of public education, I urge you to reject the executive budget proposal which makes modifications to the BOCES sharing ratio which would decrease state funding for BOCES. This would have a negative impact on the ability of BOCES to meet the needs of students, teachers, and school related professionals."

NYSUT represents more than 600,000 teachers, school-related professionals, academic and professional faculty in higher education, professionals in education and health care and retirees.
