NYSUT recently posted a position paper on their Web site supporting the efforts of BOCES in New York State. The paper begins with, "As your constituent and supporter of public education, I urge you to reject the executive budget proposal which makes modifications to the BOCES sharing ratio which would decrease state funding for BOCES. This would have a negative impact on the ability of BOCES to meet the needs of students, teachers, and school related professionals."
